Ghrelin in the gut, improve the perception and memory of the brain when looking at the food and the levels will go up and down before and after meals.
In his research, Dagher finding the role of ghrelin in the brain was to make food look attractive.
Dagher studied 20 volunteers who were shown images of food and scenery. Twelve volunteers were given injections of the hormone ghrelin, while eight others did not.
After some time, 12 volunteers stated the pictures more interesting food. While volunteers are not injected with ghrelin did not experience any change in the perception of vision.
