Menu Tips for Healthy Teeth

To get a beautiful body like a Spanish guitar, of course you have to organize a diet. Similarly, the teeth, to get strong and beautiful teeth you should also set the type of food you consume.

Are you convinced just by brushing, flossing, visiting the dentist, or gargle with mouthwash enough to maintain your dental health? All of the body including the teeth needs nutrients to stay healthy and strong.

Here are tips about the types of foods you can consume to maintain your dental health:


Tea

Black tea (black tea) and green tea (green tea) contains polyphenols, antioxidants that prevent plaque component that sticks in your teeth and help reduce the risk of cavities and gum disease.

"Tea is also potential to reduce bad breath odor by stopping the growth of bacteria that cause bad breath," says Christine D. Wu, PhD, from the Chicago College of Dentistry at the University of Illinois, United States, which organized several studies on tea and oral health. Tea also contains fluoride, which may protect the enamel from damage.

Drinking with a straw

Most sodas, health drinks and even juices contain acids, such as citric and phosphoric, which can erode enamel, although low in sugar (lite sugar) or sugar-free (sugar free). Drinking types of liquids by using a straw can minimize the layer destruction of the tooth.

Consumption of vitamin C

Consumption of 800 mg of calcium per day

According to a recent study, the unmet need for calcium increases the risk of gum disease. The reason, about 99% calcium in the body will be absorbed by the teeth and bones. Calcium needs can be obtained through the cheese, milk, and yogurt. Recommendation for adequate calcium is 1,000 mg per day.
