Tips for Choosing a Sunscreen

choosing healthy sunscreen
American Melanoma Foundation recommends that everyone wear sunscreen every day to get the best protection against ultraviolet rays from the sun that can damage the skin, especially on the neck, face and hands, the three parts of the body most often exposed to sunlight.

To gain maximum benefit from your sunscreen, it's important to choose the right sunscreen according to the type of event and your skin type.

1. Choose products with broad-spectrum sunscreen at least SPF 15 to block UV-A and UV-B and provide the highest protection from the sun's ultraviolet rays. UV-B radiation are the rays that cause sunburn and lead to skin cancer, while UV-A rays absorb into the skin and cause wrinkles and premature aging.

2. Choose a sunscreen (waterproof) if you are going to swim or participate in outdoor activities that will cause you to sweat. Although water-resistant formula will keep your skin protected for longer, you need to wear it again after excessive sweating or swimming in a long time.

3. Customize your skin type when choosing a sunscreen. Sunscreen formula that is available for sensitive and oily skin types. The formula that helps prevent clogged pores and skin reactions in people who are very sensitive.
