Easy Ways Cooling House

EVERY home with a set of air conditioner produce 2 tons of carbon dioxide each year. This method is also not environmentally friendly and certainly helped erode your finances. According to Trey Muffett, director of building science for Sustainable Spaces of San Francisco to help keep the environment as well as keep cool during hot weather, there are some simple tips environmentally friendly that you can try. Here are a few: 

 1. Use the windows and curtains as needed 

If you are not home all day, close all windows and curtains to keep the house remains cool as long as possible.
If you're at home and do not want all the windows closed the curtains, close when needed. Black curtains that would be more effective than other colors because it is reflecting the heat. If the air is quite cold at night, open windows to facilitate air circulation.

2. Avoid using washing machine or ironing in the afternoon 

In addition, the stove is one of the main heat source. If possible, cook outdoors, or use the microwave. Be sure to also turn off computers and other electronic equipment when not in use. If allowed to continue to burn, this tool will generate unnecessary heat. Make sure also unplugged when not in use to reduce electric bills. 

3. Replacing the light bulb 

Incandescent lights emit heat. Therefore, many experts recommend to replace it with a fluorescent light or infrared halogen lamps. Fluorescent lamps with a power equivalent to incandescent lighting can give a much more powerful. 

4. Use a Fan 

When the cold air outside, place the fan who easily lifted in front of an open window to bring air into the room. In addition, there is also a good idea to install ceiling fans.
