Eight Million Deaths Due to Stroke

A study published last week in the Lancet, Mexico, concluded that stroke and heart attack caused by high blood pressure has resulted in nearly 8 million deaths worldwide instantly. Half of them aged between 45-70 years.

As reported in The New York Times website, the results of this study states that 80% of deaths caused by high blood diseases occur in developing countries and poor countries. In developed countries, in the next 50 years, events such deaths has dropped dramatically. Even hospital-even small hospitals have been able to deal with someone who had a heart attack either by the method of operation, catheterization, or using blood thinners (blood thinner).

In the past, before these methods are found, to handle patients with heart attacks, scientists recommend a polypill, a combination of low-dose aspirin, cholesterol-lowering statins and blood pressure-lowering drugs. At that time, the drug is freely sold without prescription to all people aged 55 and above.
