VITAMIN C is an antioxidant that is essential for the body. Vitamin C can be found in various fruits and vegetables, mainly found in citrus fruits, green leafy vegetables, broccoli, potatoes, and fruits and other vegetables. Lack of vitamin C can significantly lead to a condition called scabies (scurvy).
Here are signs to watch out for if you do not get enough vitamin C, according to the U.S. National Library of Medicine:
1. Excessive dry hair with ends that break easily.
2. Scaly skin, rough and dry.
3. Bleeding or inflamed gums.
4. Old wounds heal, frequent infections, and easy bruising.
5. Frequent nosebleeds.
6. Pain and swelling in joints.
7. Anemia.
8. Weak enamel.
