Physical Activity Reduce Breast Cancer Risk

Results of the published research literature confirm that women, who tend to reduce the risk of breast cancer with regular physical activity, can provide many benefits.

Based on the results published in the online media in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, postmenopausal women and women with ideal weight belongs to the group that succeeded in reducing the risk of breast cancer by physical activity.

Also found indications that some activities reduce risk more than others. For example, physical activity in the form of recreational activity may reduce the risk of breast cancer is a good range of activities related to the conduct.

Dr. C. M. Friedenreich, from the Alberta Cancer Board in Canada and Dr. A. E. Cust from the University of Melbourne in Australia, examine how time, the type and level of physical activity affect breast cancer risk. They identified 62 research literatures.

A total of 47 of the 62 studies (76%) indicated there are anti-cancer effects due to physical activity, with the type of risk reduction as much as 25-30%. In 28 of 33 studies, they found the facts of a dose response effect, which means more training produces many benefits.

In the period of activity, such as recreational activities, a spirit of lifelong activity and the activity or activities while providing a reduction in breast cancer risk is very great.

The discovery indicated that exercise also reduces hormone negative tumors than in hormone positive tumors.

"Furthermore, epidemiological research needs to clarify its biological mechanism under the joint between physical activities and reduce the risk of breast cancer," says Friedenreich and Cust. "Primarily concerned with the type, duration and intensity of exercise and explain the differences in the effects of population".
