Recognize the Signs and Childbirth Process
Parturition in women is different. But the signs posed for mothers who will give birth, on average are same. For those of you who are pregnant and will give birth soon, maybe a few things below can be input for you.
1. Beginning with the contraction
In general, at 38-40 weeks of gestation, the fetal head is starting to fall into the pelvic cavity. Together with it, the muscles of the uterus begin to shrinking and stretching continuously with regularly. The movement is called a contraction.
The frequency of contractions longer increasing, so does the strength. Initially the interval contraction can be once every hour, but the longer it can be 30 to 15 minutes or so, even before the birth contractions spacing can be 1 or 2 minutes.
2. Blood mixed with mucus discharge
After the contraction, there is a liquid form of blood mixed with mucus. This showed that the thick blockage at the cervix is cut off, and causes mucus is reddish because it mixes with blood.
3. Cervical dilation
When the muscles of the uterus shrink, then the size of the uterus will shrink also. So the fetal head is getting pushed toward the bottom (birth canal). At first, the cervix which was originally only opened slightly, along with the advent of an increasingly strong contraction, will continue to soften and widen.
4. The opening of the cervix
Usually the opening of the cervix is calculated with units of centimeters (cm). If the doctor says your cervix is in the opening 5, the mean birth canal was opened along the 5 cm. Perfect and complete open the birth canal when it reaches the opening 10, or 10 cm.
• Phase I, beginning with no opening until the opening of the 2 could take place 24 to 48 hours. At this stage, you will feel incredible heartburn. At this moment you are not allowed to push, because it will result in the birth canal ripped and swollen.
• Phase II, starting from the opening of 30-10 that lasts up to 7 hours on the first child labor, 3.5 hours on the second child and so on.
• Phase III, the phase of delivery of the placenta, only about 15 minutes.
5. Ready born
In phase II, the fetal head which is right in the mouth of the uterus will continue to crowd out. Naturally, the uterus and vagina will form a kind of basin that became the path to pass the baby. At this time you will feel a very strong pressure on the perineum (area between the vagina and anus).
At the fetal head ready to go out, mucus and blood coming out of the vagina increase. Strong insistence of the fetal head will cause the wrapper fetal amniotic sac rupture, so that the amniotic fluid wetting out the vaginal area. This fluid is able to make the birth canal which would facilitate the more slippery baby out. By the time the baby's head managed to look at the door of birth, you are allowed to push.
Naturally, the baby's body will rotate your shoulders and other body parts can get out. Now is your task complete, health workers will clean your uterus from the placenta attached to the uterine wall and the process is not more than 15 minutes.
Now, Happy to be a mother!
