Loud Sound Inhibit Baby Development

PROHIBITION talking loudly near the baby turns out there's a reason. The sound of loud conversations proves to inhibit the development of babies. Especially in premature babies or ailing.

According to Dr. William Engle, a neonatologist from the Riley Hospital, Indianapolis, USA, loud sounds make baby's heart is beating too rapidly or vice versa, very slow.

It makes the baby could not rest or sleep. In fact, all the process of infant development, both physical and brain, occurs precisely when the baby is resting or sleeping.

The fact was revealed in his research in a special care unit at the hospital.

"Babies grow in such conditions, besides eat of course," said Engle.

Therefore, he recommends that parents provide a quiet place for their babies. A quiet place, he said, could push the baby's brain to process the incoming sound and recognize their mother's voice.
