Food Determine Gender of Child

Food consumed by a mother was able to determine the gender of the child. Fiona Mathews of the University of Exeter, UK, and colleagues conducted a study of 740 women who are pregnant the first time about their eating habits before and after pregnancy.

They were divided into three groups based on the number of daily calorie intake.
They found 56% of the group with the highest caloric intake had boys compared with 45% of the group who consumed low-calorie foods.

Opportunities gave birth to boys were also higher in mothers who ate at least one bowl of cereal per day instead of just eating less or a bowl of cereal per week.

A number of previous studies mention the energy-rich food intake in developed countries and the number of people who eat breakfast declined. "This research helps explain why in developed countries the number of boys getting down," Mathews said.
