Know the Symptoms of Perimenopause Periods



Menopause technically means the cessation of menstrual periods in women or schedule for about a year. But usually the word used to describe the changes of menopause in a woman's body which is the end of the reproductive period.


Every woman will experience menopause, but has a vulnerable period of time. Experts estimate, 75% of women reported experiencing some symptoms of menopause and 20% - 25% to medical treatment for the symptoms that it faces.

Before the signs of menopause continue, there is a phase called perimenopause. "For some women, perimenopause periods is felt heavier than the menopause," said JoAnn Pinkertin, MD, from midlife Health Center and gynecologist at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.

"Because the perimenopause periods is not explicitly depicted, many people do not realize it. And the symptoms experienced vary from month to month, so it is very heavy about it."

Fluctuations in estrogen and testosterone provide role during perimenopause periods and menopause, women may experience symptoms of many kinds, including:

1. Irregular menstrual cycles
2. Severe bleeding
3. Premenstruation syndrome (PMS) is bad
4. Sleep problems
5. A burning sensation on the face (hot flush)
6. The vagina is dry
7. Loss of sexual desire

"There are some things you can do to improve the condition, both during and after menopause. These include exercise, eating right and getting enough sleep," said Pinkerton.

Physical exercise such as walking and jogging can protect the cardiovascular and create healthy bones. Then, there is yoga and pilates exercises that can make you sleep more soundly at night. For food, inadequate calcium and vitamin D so that it can control the symptoms of menopause and prevent weight gain.
