Tips Lull Child without "War"

For some parents mostly, lull a child is the most difficult. Sometimes parents let the child is tired, to be asleep. But apparently, it is the wrong way because it can make the child sleep late and wake up earlier.

Here are tips on how to lull a child without forcing him/her into bed:

1. Make sure the child's bedtime earlier

Some parents do not notice their child's sleeping hours, until the kids get tired and then sleep by it. It was a big mistake. When children feel overtired (too tired), a stress hormone called cortisol is produced, where these hormones make it harder to sleep, so make the children sleep late and wake up early. You can anticipate it by getting to bed 30 minutes early, so that the child is not too tired to play.

2. Consistent Sleep Clock

Consistency is crucial. This means that sleep must have the same time each day, both during weekdays and weekends, and during the dry season this time of day seemed much longer.

This cannot be ignored, if your child is sleeping too late, try to take him to bed at the same time. It's important for your child to sleep in a consistent, so that a balance of rest and activity can be maintained. With the enactment of sleep schedule, your child will not be maintained beyond his regular sleep schedule.

3. Hold a routine before bedtime

These activities can be beneficial before bedtime routine, such as bathing, brushing teeth, reading books, drinking warm milk. Take the time to these activities about 30 minutes to 1 hour before bed.

One time when he felt tired and wanted to sleep, he'd do it myself or will ask you to accompany him to the bathroom to brush my teeth and lead you to read bedtime stories.

4. Offer lots of choices on the child's sleep schedule

Create simple questions, with answers that are not too complicated and requires only a yes or no. Like, "You want to wear a green or blue pajamas?", or "want to read a story about a bear that kind, or Cinderella?" Or, "want to drink milk chocolate or white milk today?".

5. Make children feel safe

When children go to sleep, he suddenly woke up and asks you to accompany him to sleep. Tell your child, "Unfortunately, my mother could not accompany you this evening. But the Lord to accompany and take care of you every night." thus the child will feel comfortable when sleeping.
