Women who have a job other than a housewife, classified as the healthiest women than housewives who just stayed at home who have a risk of obesity, say a study in the UK.
The experts examined 1200 women aged 15-54 years, and write the results of the survey in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.
Survey results showed 38% of women who do not work suffering from obesity, compared with 23% of women with careers and family care.
Dr Anne McMunn of the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at London University, said the study shows that good health is the result, not the cause, women do more than one rush (take care of husband, children and career). "This study shows women who combine career and family life at last tend to be healthier," said McMunn.
According to her, women who stay at home and just take care of the family tend to suffer from obesity because of their lack of activity and eat more. "But the demands of career and family also mean the women must take care of their own health in order to do its job."
McMunn also added, that does not mean the husband can relax and escape from the responsibility of helping their wives.
