Uric Acid and Cardiovascular Disease


Excess uric acid will accelerate the death of someone, especially if he is also potentially a heart attack. This is the result of the study Dr Eshar Krihnan of 9100 middle-aged man.

Krishnan suggest to those who are in a condition to always control the circumstances of cholesterol and blood pressure to heart conditions to stay healthy.


Gout or commonly known as a disease of excess uric acid can cause arthritis. Joints of the patient will feel hot, swollen, and reddish. Generally the symptoms are clearly visible on the big toe joint. However, gout can also attack other parts like ankles, knees, hands and wrists or other joints.

Krishnan said it is unclear how the relationship level of uric acid concentrations with heart attacks.

Excess uric acid can also cause oxidative stress, cell damage, and cause spots on blood vessels.
